When you donate to Help4Homeless, we provide receipts and documentation to acknowledge your generosity. While we're currently working towards charity registration, we still provide proper documentation for all donations and can help with tax relief where possible.
Receipts serve multiple purposes: proof of donation for your records, documentation for tax purposes, and transparency in our financial management. We're committed to proper financial documentation even as we grow towards formal charity status.
Yes! We provide receipts for all donations. Online donations receive automatic email receipts immediately. For bank transfers and cash donations, we send receipts within 24-48 hours. If you don't receive your receipt, please contact us and we'll resend it.
Currently, we can't offer Gift Aid as we're not yet a registered charity. However, if you're a higher-rate taxpayer, you may be able to claim tax relief on charitable donations through your self-assessment tax return. We recommend consulting with a tax advisor for specific guidance.
Our receipts include: your name and contact information, donation amount, date of donation, payment method, our organisation details, and a unique reference number. For larger donations, we can provide additional documentation if needed for your records or employer matching programs.
Online donations: immediate email receipt. Bank transfers: within 24 hours. Cash donations: at the time of giving or within 48 hours if we need to process it. If you need a receipt urgently, let us know and we'll prioritise sending it.
Yes, we provide receipts for in-kind donations. The receipt will describe the items donated rather than assigning a monetary value (as we're not qualified to value items for tax purposes). You may need to obtain independent valuations for tax relief purposes on high-value items.
No problem! Just contact us with your name, approximate donation date, and amount (if known). We keep records of all donations and can quickly resend or issue replacement receipts. There's no charge for this service.
Absolutely! We provide detailed receipts for corporate donations including company details, donation amounts, dates, and any specific sponsorship information. We can also provide additional documentation for corporate social responsibility reporting and tax purposes.
Not yet. We're currently working towards registering as a charity, after which we'll be able to offer Gift Aid. Once registered, we'll contact all previous donors to see if they'd like to Gift Aid their future donations. Gift Aid increases the value of donations by 25% at no extra cost to you.
Yes, you can donate anonymously. We'll provide a receipt without your name on it (just the donation details and reference number). If you need the receipt for tax purposes but want to remain anonymous publicly, we can accommodate that - just let us know your preferences.
If you're fundraising for us, we can provide receipts for the total amount raised. Individual donors to your fundraising page will receive their own receipts automatically. We can also provide documentation to confirm your fundraising efforts for employer recognition programs.
Yes, we provide receipts for international donations. The receipts will be in GBP and include all necessary information for international tax purposes. However, tax relief rules vary by country, so international donors should check their local tax regulations.
We take data protection seriously. Your donation information is stored securely and only used for receipt purposes and essential communication. We never share your details with third parties. You can opt out of communications at any time while still receiving receipts for your donations.
