Common questions about Help4Homeless and our work in Peterborough

What areas do you serve?

We focus specifically on Peterborough and the immediate surrounding areas. All our wellbeing packs and support services are for people in the Peterborough community.

How long have you been operating?

Help4Homeless was founded in 2025 by a 17-year-old Peterborough resident. We're a relatively new initiative but are already making a difference in our community.

What's in a wellbeing pack?

Each £10 wellbeing pack contains: warm socks, toothbrush & toothpaste, wet wipes, deodorant, snacks, hot chocolate, hand warmers, plasters, notepad & pen, and lip balm. Contents may vary by season.

How are wellbeing packs distributed?

Our volunteers distribute packs directly to homeless individuals in Peterborough. We document our distributions and share updates with our supporters.

Can I volunteer if I'm under 18?

Yes! We welcome volunteers of all ages. If you're under 16, we may need parental consent for some activities. Many of our volunteers are students.

Do you have collection points?

We're currently setting up collection points around Peterborough. Contact us at info@help4homeless.xyz to arrange a drop-off or find the nearest location.

How can I contact you?

Email us at info@help4homeless.xyz or tom@help4homeless.xyz. You can also use the live chat on our website for immediate assistance.

What's your impact so far?

We're just getting started but every pack makes a difference. We share regular updates on our GoFundMe and social media about our distributions and impact.

Are you part of a larger organization?

No, we're an independent community initiative. We work with other local organizations but operate independently with minimal overhead.

How can schools get involved?

Schools can organize fundraising events, collection drives, or awareness campaigns. We can provide materials and presentations for students.

What's your long-term vision?

We aim to expand our reach, establish permanent collection points, and potentially become a registered charity to increase our impact in Peterborough.
